Xiaopei XU

Huaisen obtained his BSc and MSc degrees from China University of Petroleum (East China) in 2022 and 2024, respectively, and is currently pursuing his PhD there. His previous research focused on molecular-scale insights into shale oil adsorption and flow in nanopores. He joined the Department of Chemistry at the National University of Singapore as a visiting PhD student in August 2026. His current research focuses on machine-learning potentials for geochemical processes relevant to CCUS.
