Dr. Yimin SHAO

Dr. Yimin Shao joined the Department of Chemistry at NUS as a Research Fellow in Aug. 2026. He obtained his PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2024 and conducted postdoctoral research at Luleå University of Technology (2024–2026), focusing on multiscale simulations for sustainable chemistry and CCUS. His expertise covers atomistic modelling, molecular simulation, CFD, process modelling, and machine learning. His current research focuses on developing multiscale AI-agent frameworks through mechanistic understanding, materials optimization and high-throughput screening, as well as process optimization for automated scientific discovery.
